Deductible

Payment for the deductible must be made upon delivery of the car by credit card.  It is refunded to the client at the end of the rental if no accident has taken place or if there was no damage caused to the vehicle by acts of vandalism, theft of the vehicle or any of its accessories.

Super CDW

The deductible can be eliminated with the payment of insurance in the amount of:

€ 10.50 for groups A,B,C          € 11.50 for groups E, J

€ 12.50 for group Q                    € 13.00 for group O                    € 22.00 for group G

Amount is per day + tax.  Paid directly by the client when receiving the vehicle.

Exclusions:

damage to the windscreen, roof, undercarriage, keys & locks, wheels, tires, interior of vehicle and willful damage. If Super CDW taken an extra payment of €3.30 /day covers damage to tires, rims, & windows caused by vandalism or accident. In case of an accident by the client's fault, taking into consideration Portuguese law, insurance companies decline any or all responsibility for that driver of all damages caused to the hired vehicle or to third parties whenever it is determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, drugs or toxic products or insane. This is also if the client uses the car in a competition, race, contest, bet, etc. In these circumstances, the deductible will be much higher.

Airport Pick-Up or Drop-Off

User fee of approx. €27.50 will be charged directly to the client.  For delivery or collection outside normal hours at airports approx. € 43.50/driver will be charged to the client.  Normal hours at the airport are:

Lisbon 6am to 1am  /    Oporto 7am to 12am  /  Faro 7am to 11pm

For hotel delivery or collection there may be a service fee of €43.50.

Baby Seats

Booster seats €6.30 per day (€60 per rental).  Child seat €7.50/day (€80 per rental) charged directly to the client.

GPS

Portable navigation system €11/day to a maximum of €165 per rental.

Passenger Accident Insurance (PAI)

Optional accidental death & dismemberment benefits.  Approx. €6.70 per day charged directly to the client. Super PAI also covers personal belongings stolen from inside the vehicle for €10/day.

Additional Driver

€35 charged directly to the client.

Refueling Charge

Cars are delivered with a full tank of petrol and are to be returned full, otherwise a charge of (approx.)

€30 will apply in addition to the cost of fuel to fill the tank.  Clients must leave a fuel deposit of €100 (approx.) or purchase a full tank for approx. €100 and return car with an empty tank.

Age  Requirements

Minimum age is 21 years for groups A-E.  No maximum.

Driving License

Clients must hold a valid driver's license, held for at least one year.

Vehicles Entering EEC

Cars may be driven into any European Economic Community Country and Switzerland.  Cars must be returned to originating point unless otherwise pre-arranged.  Vehicles may not be driven into Eastern European or African countries.

Additional charges subject to VAT. 

 NOTE – Car voucher is non-refundable.  There is no refund for unused days of the vehicle.
